Unless you've been sleeping under a rock for the past 3 years, you should know that Kendrick's music is significantly MORE relevant to the current socio-political climate than that of almost any 'classical composers' - for that reason it is worth analysing. BUT, there's very little exploratory concepts in terms of music, and I feel any music theory teacher would fall on you hard for using a repetitive rap song that alternated between tensions to progress the song. If you're in the arts, and poetry, analyzing lyrics, I know there's substance there. A couple bars of any classical composer would tear this song to shit. Tensions can variate, a sus2, sus4, and in this case it sounds like an aug5, it's really not that special. That song is sampling a vocoded, autotuned tension/release chord over bragging. Not many little ones sprinkled into it to support something you already think you know. Facts and research only, and only through great inductive research, can you form a new opinion.
